PS: That’s me on the left. For anyone who is familiar with the song, I was “Squish”. =)
Graphic Design: Orrin B. Hayes Skyline
When Kelly White Design was brought on board to redesign the Orrin B. Hayes website, a historic Oldsmobile/ Mazda / Mercedes-Benz/ Jeep dealership in Kalamazoo, they had one request – “Make it original!”
We were happy to oblige and based the website concept around a neat sketched-out retro Kalamazoo skyline. They’ve used the artwork on banners, sales ads and other marketing materials, and you may recognize that stylized logo driving around town as well. (Yep – we did that, too
Newspaper Ad: Mancino’s
Kelly White Design was hired to spruce up an anniversary flyer for Mancino’s Italian Eatery in Bad Axe, Michigan.
Check it out! It ran in the newspaper as a full page advertisement on the back cover.
Mmm . . . . breadsticks.
Logo and Business Card Design: Momentum Dance Studios
This is a logo I did for a dance studio here in Kalamazoo, located inside of KidsSports USA.
and here are their snazzy business cards:
Logo: MI Theatre Database
In my pile of unfinished projects, I have a cool idea for a Michigan Theatre database where actors, production staff, and musicians can find out about auditions, pit orchestra gigs, rent props and costumes – all kinds of cool things!
Someday I’d love to get started on it, but for now – I have this cool logo!
Logo: Amberly Lady Tigers
This is a logo I did for an elementary school age girl’s inline hockey team. I used to play roller hockey at the Kalamazoo fairgrounds, and I was by no means good, but I volunteered to help coach/assist with the team to get some practice in. They could skate faster than me but I was taller, so we were pretty evenly matched. =)
For fun, I asked them what the team name should be, and they said they went to Amberly Elementary and their school mascot was the tiger. I came up with a logo and ironed it on white handkerchiefs so all the girls could have team bandanas. One of their dads told me they all wore them to school the next day and showed them to everyone – they were so proud.
and that’s why being a graphic designer is so fun.
Logo: KRHR Escorts
This was the logo for my Silver Division Inline Hockey team at the Kalamazoo County fairgrounds. Unfortunately – we didn’t get jerseys made, because they would have been AWESOME.
PS: The Escorts name was my idea, when my other suggestion didn’t end up working out:
